Partial Products Method

This past week the students have been introduced to two ways of completing a multiplication problem.  One of the ways is called the Partial Products Method.  Click on the link below to take a look at the videos on the partial products method.

My students have been practicing these skills and we use the partial product method as one way to solve. We've been having fun "graduating" through the different stages of multiplication! Students graduate from completing a 3 digit by 1 digit mult. problem to a 2 digit by 2 digit problem then up to a 3 digit by 2 digit problem. Once they graduate through these stages, they then move into the "Challeng Zone" which is 3 digits by 3 digits. We only have a couple students in this group :) we wish you all the best as you grow in your multiplication skills :)
